Middletown, Pennsylvania definitely has people who just do not want beer and liquor all the time. People were expecting an official coffee shop to be launched. To serve the demand of the localities on April 23, 2018 Tattered Flag Brewery & Still Works did a grand opening of its new coffee shop "The Nuclear Bean".
The coffee shop is located in ground floor of the Tattered Flag Brewery and Still Works in Middletown, Pennsylvania. This is veteran (Pat Devlin, Matt Fritz, Tony DeLellis, and Ben Ramsay) owned and operated business, their focus is to give back to the communities around while providing a one-of-a-kind experience. The Nuclear Bean is run by Brian Lewis. The Nuclear Bean offers locally sourced hot coffee, tea and other cafe creations as well as sweet pastries and bold breakfast sandwiches.

We brew our own coffee.
Coffee can be brewed in several different ways, but these methods fall into four main groups depending on how the water is introduced to the coffee grounds: decoction (through boiling), infusion (through steeping), gravitational feed (used with percolators and in drip brewing), or pressurized percolation (as with espresso).
Choosing to grind your own beans puts another step between you and your beloved coffee, but even if you only brew with one method, having the ability to slightly change your grind size can substantially impact the quality of your coffee. When you grind your own beans you have greater authority over grind size, which has a significant impact on flavor.

Hosting events
We are open to hosting various events to promote talent of local artist (Middletown students and Penn state Harrisburg students). Through these regular events at our cafe, we give our customers a reason to keep coming back. These events give new experiences each time, and you would always look forward to our next event.
